Papyr.com and the HyperTextBooks are the copyrighted property of Daniel Kies. English for Specific Purposes and its ESL materials are the copyrighted property of Sandra Gollin Kies. These lessons, pages, and web sites are not in the public domain, even though we keep most of our materials freely accessible. By accessing the content of papyr.com or the HyperTextBooks, you agree to these terms of use:

  1. Public and non-profit private schools may use these materials as they wish for free.

  2. For-profit groups (including for-profit schools or web sites, corporate training, tutoring, and development, both on- and off-line) may use of these materials by subscription only. Please write kiesdan [at] dupage.edu for rates and details.

  3. Individuals may print out or distribute electronically papyr.com's and the HyperTextBooks' lessons for their own private use or for use by their students,

    1. as long as they distribute the lessons at no cost to the recipient,
    2. as long as they acknowledge the source, including the URL, and
    3. as long as these lessons are supplemental to their own teaching.

  4. Individuals may revise our materials to suit their needs, as long as they include a reference to the original residing at papyr.com, including the document URL.

  5. Individuals may link to pages on papyr.com through their school's or institution's web sites or course management systems. We do not support links through (anti)social media.

  6. Materials on papyr.com or the HyperTextBooks are not to be

    1. downloaded en masse and incorporated into any institution's or corporation's "learning system" or "course management system,"
    2. mirrored on another server,
    3. framed within another site,
    4. burned to a CD or saved on any other storage medium,
    5. mass downloaded or "imported" via any web site downloading program,
    6. installed electronically on any media or on any other server other than that contracted with us, or
    7. incorporated into any other product (either print or electronic) without our prior consent.
